A tragic incident has occurred in Akrofrom, a community in the Afigya Kwabre South District of the Ashanti Region, where a 34-year-old man was allegedly stabbed to death.

According to reports, the deceased identified as ‘Stone’ was found dead under a pylon in the community.

Speaking to this reporter on July 13,2025, Hon. Tony Nyantakyi, Assembly member of Apagya Electoral Area indicated that he had a call from one of his unit committee members who resides in the community around 11:30 am, where he reported the incident to him.

“The cause of his death is yet to be known, but we could see this small spot under his left breast where he had tied with a sponge, perhaps to stop the flow of blood,” Hon. Tony stated.

According to Hon. Tony Nyantakyi, the police have conveyed the body and are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.

The incident has sent shockwaves through the community, leaving residents in fear.

The community is hoping that the perpetrators behind this sudden incident will be brought to book.
