The Trans African Tourism and Unity Campaign, a Pan-African initiative advocating for visa-free travel across Africa, has secured official endorsement from the Government of Ghana through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The endorsement marks a pivotal milestone in the campaign’s mission to promote seamless intra-African travel, cultural exchange, tourism, and economic integration, aligning closely with the African Union’s Agenda 2063.

Led by former Member of Parliament and seasoned broadcaster Ras Mubarak, the campaign seeks to dismantle visa barriers across the continent to foster trade, cross-cultural connections, and regional prosperity.

“We are deeply honoured by the Government of Ghana’s endorsement, which strengthens our resolve to champion a visa-free Africa,” said Ras Mubarak, Campaign Lead. “This is a historic step toward unlocking the immense potential of our continent’s cultural and economic diversity. We are committed to keeping the public informed and engaged as we work toward an open and connected Africa.”

Media Partnerships and Public Engagement

The campaign has already attracted significant media support, with Graphic Communications Group Limited, New Mail Nigeria Online, EIB Network, Woezor TV, Eyewitness News Sierra Leone, and Asaase Radio among the first partners to come on board. More media collaborations are expected in the coming weeks to ensure extensive coverage of the campaign’s activities.

Regular updates will be shared via media outlets, social media platforms, and public events, with organisers encouraging Africans and supporters of Pan-African unity to join the conversation using the hashtags #OpenAfrica and #OpenOpportunities.

About the Campaign

The Trans African Tourism and Unity Campaign is a Pan-African movement dedicated to advocating for visa-free travel across the continent, aiming to boost tourism, enhance trade, and celebrate Africa’s rich cultural heritage.

By removing travel restrictions, the campaign aspires to create a more unified, prosperous, and connected Africa.
