The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Ahafo Ano South West District Assembly in the Ashanti Region, Abubakar Sedik, has demonstrated a commitment to motivating staff to excel in their duties.

On Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at a staff durbar held in Mankranso, the District capital, Sedik announced he would donate his one month’s salary to reward the three best-performing staff of the Assembly at the end of the year 2025.

The DCE’s gesture aims to motivate staff to work diligently and support his goal of developing the District.

By rewarding top-performing staff, Sedik hopes to cultivate a culture of excellence and dedication within the Assembly. “I am here to empower you to do your best for the development of our people,” he stated.

While announcing the reward, the DCE also urged staff to be punctual and to refrain from habitual absenteeism.

He emphasised the importance of discipline and commitment in achieving the Assembly’s objectives.

The DCE has tasked the District Coordinating Director to establish a committee that will select the three best staff based on performance.

The committee will determine the selection criteria, and the one-month salary will be distributed among the winners.

The DCE’s initiative is a welcome development likely to boost staff morale within the Assembly.

By recognising and rewarding excellence, Sedik said he is committed to promoting a culture of hard work and dedication that will ultimately contribute to the district’s development.
