Kofi Arko Nokoe is the MP for Evalue-Ajomoro Gwira Constituency
The Member of Parliament (MP) for Evalue-Ajomoro Gwira Constituency in the Western region, Kofi Arko Nokoe, has pledged to support the Deputy Minister-designate for transport, Dorcas Afo Toffey (MP), to succeed.
President John Dramani Mahama nominated Dorcas Afo Toffey as the deputy minister for transport some weeks ago pending parliamentary approval.
Dorcas Afo Toffey is becoming the first female MP for Jomoro Constituency to hold a ministerial position since 1992.
Dorcas Afo Toffey, who went through so many obstacles in her first term, was able to retain her parliamentary seat in 2024.
Commending President John Dramani Mahama for showing love to Nzemas, the Evalue-Ajomoro Gwira MP, Kofi Arko Nokoe, congratulated Dorcas Afo Toffey on her new appointment.
“On behalf of the five paramount chiefs, Nanamo, elders, and the good people of the Evalue Ajomoro Gwira Constituency, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to my sister and colleague, Hon. Dorcas Afo-Toffey, on her appointment as Deputy Minister for Transport”, he stated.
He added that, “This appointment is a well-deserved recognition of her dedication, visionary leadership, and unwavering commitment to the people of Jomoro and the nation at large. It is also a proud moment for Nzemaland and the entire Western Region”.
Kofi Arko Nokoe took the opportunity to express confidence in her and declared his unflinching support for her to deliver.
“I have utmost confidence in Hon. Afo-Toffey’s ability to excel in her new role and assure her of my unflinching support as she contributes meaningfully to the advancement of Ghana’s transport sector and beyond.
The people of Evalue-Ajomoro-Gwira join in celebrating this remarkable milestone and wish her continued success in this new chapter of dedicated service to God and country”, he concluded.
The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Jomoro, Benedict Boadi, also took the opportunity to thank President John Dramani Mahama for appointing his MP as the deputy minister for transport.
He pledged to support Dorcas Afo Toffey to succeed in order to help his area.
Benedict Boadi appealed to the good people of Jomoro and Nzema as a whole to rally behind Dorcas Afo Toffey.
