Dr Bawumia’s photographer was allegedly hit in the face at the NPP Delegates Conference
A brief scuffle broke out during the 2025 New Patriotic Party (NPP) National Delegates Conference when a photographer for former Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia was allegedly hit in the face.
The photographer, identified as ‘Twinsdontbeg,’ was seen being restrained by some party members following the altercation.
According to a Channel One TV report, the incident occurred as security personnel were clearing a path for Dr Bawumia, his wife Samira, former Minister of Energy Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh, and other dignitaries upon their arrival at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium.
In the process of making way, one of the security personnel reportedly struck Dr Bawumia’s photographer in the face, triggering a confrontation.
One of the guards attempted to further confront the photographer, prompting bystanders to intervene and de-escalate the situation.
In a video that has since gone viral on X (formerly Twitter), the photographer is heard saying, “Are you a fool?” as he expressed frustration over the encounter.
The situation was eventually brought under control.
The 2025 NPP National Delegates Conference, held on July 19, 2025 brought together delegates from across the country to deliberate on key party issues ahead of the flagbearer election scheduled for January 31, 2026.
