Resetting Ghana, Faced With The Hurdles Of Lawlessness And Indiscipline

The success of resetting Ghana is dependent on how ruthlessly lawlessness and indiscipline that have bedeviled our dear nation is dealt with.?

Most Ghanaians are recklessly lawlessness and Indiscipline because political authorities are afraid of some of them, and are unable to adequately enforce the laws due to unconscionable fear of losing the next election.

Fortunately the outcome of the 2024 general elections had bust the myth surrounding the logic of dealing ruthlessly with evil and lawless characters, may gang against the government and make them unpopular and eventually losing the next elections. The heavy defeat of the New Patriotic Party in the 2024 general elections attest to the facts, that logic is no longer tenable. Therefore subsequent governments must understand not to underrate the sophistication of the Ghanaian electorates.

The New Patriotic Party thought they could have massive political fortune by enabling the perpetuation of evil, lawlessness and indiscipline at the illegal mining districts, hence their lukewarm attitude towards illegal miners (galamseyers). Even to an extent of using the cohesive powers of State to frustrate Organised labour from embarking on nationwide strike which was intended to force the government to outlaw mining in the forest and the river bodies by illegal miners.

Ghanaians realised the evil intentions of President Nana Akufo Addo and the NPP, they collectively and massively rejected the cruel government that prioritised electoral victory over and above their health and their welfare as citizens.

Therefore the new government must take a cue from the outcome of the last general elections. The message from the electorates is loud and clear, they are more interested in any form of transactional leadership.

What Ghanaians are expecting from President John Mahama and his government is to deal ruthlessly with perpetrators of evil lawlessness and indiscipline, and that would guarantee the resetting Ghana back to its default mode.

The massive support for ORAL is an indication Ghanaians are no longer going to protect any corrupt government officials blindly. Therefore this bold statement by Ghanaians must emboldened subsequent governments to deal ruthlessly with any lawless character irrespective of race, creed or party affiliation.

President John Mahama the success of resetting Ghana is basically dependent on sound foundation of no tolerance for lawlessness, indiscipline and corruption.
