Bono Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwame Baffoe, has called on financiers of the party to disclose what they have benefited in return for their contributions.

According to Baffoe who is popularly known as Abronye DC, this would enable party members to conduct a cost-benefit analysis of the claims made by these financiers.

In an interview with Okay FM on July 16, 2025, Abronye DC stated that some party members often boast about their contributions to the party without mentioning the benefits they’ve received in return.

He posited that it is high time some individuals who claimed to have major stake in the party and can therefore destroy it, were faced off squarely and given a proper showdown to show that the party has “the men”.

“They always talk about the kinds of support they’ve given to the party, but they intentionally don’t mention what they’ve also benefited from the party because they’re financiers,” he said.

“If some think the party is for them and that they can destroy it, they should bring it on, and I will face them,” he added.

“…you always hear them on radio bragging about how they have helped the party without mentioning that they have gained from the party,” he continued.

Abronye believes that party members who claim to have financially supported the party should be asked to disclose what they’ve gained in return.

This, he explained, would help party members understand that those who boast about their spending on the party have also received favors.

He has vowed to challenge any party member who tries to use their financial status to gain unmerited favors from the party’s delegates without telling the delegates what they gained in return.

Meanwhile, Abronye has declared his intention to contest the party’s presidential primaries in the lead-up to the 2028 general elections.
