Videos have emerged showing how thugs, alleged to be associated with the NDC, invaded three different offices of the Forest Commission in the Ashanti Region.

The videos, which have gone viral on social media, captured some well-built individuals holding pump-action guns and moving around each of the premises they visited. In contrast, others moved in and locked up the offices.

Meanwhile, the Ashanti Regional security coordinator has denied the involvement of national security in the operations that saw the alleged thugs invade the offices.

The Forestry Commission has issued a statement condemning the attack by the thugs on its offices, describing it as a “blatant act of intimidation” against its staff.

On Monday, July 28, 2025, individuals claiming to be national security operatives allegedly stormed three district offices of the Forestry Commission in the Ashanti Region, locking them up.

The suspected thugs drove away officers on duty at the Bekwai, Offinso South, and Nkawie District offices before locking the offices with their own padlocks and taking the keys.
