‘Serve well; many didn’t get the chance’ — Rev Ntim Fordjour to Mahama’s ministers

Member of Parliament for Assin South, Reverend John Ntim Fordjour, has urged the recently nominated ministers of President John Dramani Mahama to serve with dedication and hard work.

The former Deputy Minister of Education reminded them that many members of the ruling party’s parliamentary caucus who were as capable were not given the chance.

Speaking on Thursday, February 6 on Accra-based Metro TV, Rev. Ntim Fordjour stressed that being chosen from among other eligible applicants is a privilege that needs to be treated with respect.

“There are so many competent people who were not named. This should serve as a reflection for those fortunate enough to be appointed to discharge their mandate to the best of their ability,” he said.

He mentioned well-known individuals who have not yet been appointed despite their experience and contributions to the party, including Emmanuel Bedzrah, James Agalga, Samuel Atta Mills, and Dr. Zanetor Agyemang Rawlings.

“It’s interesting that Dr. Zanetor Rawlings, a third-term MP who has distinguished herself, hasn’t been named yet. The same goes for Hon. Samuel Atta Mills, a third-term MP and respected gentleman,” he noted.

Out of the 60 ministers he promised to appoint, President Mahama has appointed 56 of them so far with four more to be made.
