‘Irresponsible Sam George cannot head a ministry when his wife takes care of him’ – Janet Nabla

The Chairperson of the People’s National Party (PNP), Janet Asana Nabla, has stated that the Minister of Communications, Digital Technology, and Innovation designate, Samuel Nartey George, cannot head a ministry, labeling him as “irresponsible.”

Madam Nabla was reacting to a statement made by Sam George to the effect that, his wife takes care of him.

Speaking on the Angel Morning Show (AMS) on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, Nabla pointed out that, traditionally, it is the responsibility of a man to perform marital duties; however, she does not understand why Sam George would allow a woman to perform his duties.

During her remarks, she stated that most Members of Parliament (MPs) should not be entrusted with positions in the country, claiming that they are irresponsible.

According to Nabla, a woman taking responsibility for a man indicates that he is irresponsible, and therefore, such a person should not be given a position in the country.

Nabla emphasised that appointing irresponsible individuals has hindered Ghana’s progress, and leaders in the country should avoid repeating such mistakes.

“Talking about irresponsibility, if someone is irresponsible, even when you give him a position, he will still be irresponsible.

“Irresponsible men should not be given positions in this country, and this man cannot be given ministerial appointments… If a woman performs the duties of a man, it indicates that the person is irresponsible,” Janet asserted to Saddick Adams.
