In a heartwarming display of kindness and generosity, Dr. Mike Amofa Dankwah, a renowned philanthropist, has pledged to renovate the dilapidated classrooms of the Agona Duakwa A.E.D.A KG/Primary ‘A’ School.

This noble gesture comes in response to a report by Kobby Kyei News, which highlighted the poor teaching and learning environment at the school. The report brought to light the dire conditions of the classrooms, which have long posed significant challenges to students’ learning experiences.

On January 22, Dr. Dankwah visited the school to inspect the facility and assess the extent of renovations required. He also paid a courtesy call on the chief of the town, Nana Kojo Amuakwa V, to express his willingness to assist with the project. During their discussions, the chief appreciated Dr. Dankwah’s kind gesture and assured him of the community’s full support to ensure the project’s success.

The headmaster of the school, Mr. George Maxwell Asante, expressed his heartfelt gratitude, saying, “Seeing Dr. Amofa step in to address our long-standing challenges is a great relief.” He noted that the poor state of the school had been driving children away and described the planned renovations as a much-needed intervention.

Established in 1928, the Agona Duakwa A.E.D.A KG/Primary ‘A’ School is one of the oldest basic schools in the country. Its current condition has been a source of concern for the community. The renovation of the classrooms is expected to not only improve the physical learning environment but also boost the morale and motivation of the students, ultimately enhancing their academic performance.

Dr. Dankwah’s philanthropic effort underscores his commitment to community development and improving the lives of children. His actions have brought hope and relief to the students and teachers at the school, who eagerly await the transformation of their learning environment.
