In a heartwarming gesture to celebrate love and new beginnings, Lydia Contraceptives made a generous donation to 20 mothers who welcomed their babies on Valentine’s Day at the Manhyia Government Hospital and the Maternal and Child Hospital in Kumasi.

Brand Manager of Lydia Contraceptives, Michael Adewale, says the gesture of love to new mothers during a significant time in their lives is geared towards promoting maternal health.

“February is a month of love and we’re celebrating Valentine’s Day, so as a brand, Lydia Contraceptives care about our women. Nine months is not an easy journey and for that we need to appreciate them and show them love and also welcome the babies with love,” he explained.

The donations included essential items such as baby clothes, feeding bottles, and hygiene products, all thoughtfully prepared to ease the transition for mothers and their newborns.

Hospital staff expressed their gratitude for the contributions, noting that such support is invaluable, especially for first-time mothers navigating the challenges of early parenthood.

Midwifery Officer in charge of the Maternity Surgical Ward at the Manhyia Government Hospital, Hawa Sulemana, said “I’m overwhelmed, we thank Lydia Contraceptives so much for what they’ve done for these mothers. We really appreciate it and we will be expecting more.”

Mothers who received the donations were overjoyed, with many expressing their appreciation for the kind gesture on such a special day.

“My child and I are grateful for this love you have shown us. I thank all Lydia Contraceptives workers for coming together to gift us today. God bless you all,” a mother said.

Lydia Contraceptives reinforced the commitment to supporting maternal and child birth in the Ashanti region.

As the new mothers celebrated the joy of motherhood, Lydia Contraceptives reminded everyone that love comes in many forms, especially when it involves caring for the next generation.
