The Interior Ministry has lifted the curfew on Saboba and Bimbilla in the Northern Region.

The decision to lift the curfew was borne out of the genuine desire of the chiefs and people of the area to sustain peace in the area as well as the improvement in the security situation in the area.

A statement signed by the Minister of Interior, Mohammed-Mubarak Muntaka, February 24, 2025, announcing the decision said “The Minister for the Interior on the advice of the Northern Regional Security Council has lifted the curfews on Saboba and Bimbilla both in the Northern Region with immediate effect.

This has been necessitated by the genuine desire of the Chiefs and people of the area to sustain peace in the area as well as the improvement in the security situation in the area.
