I love every Ghanaian deeply. But love alone cannot build a nation—we need a leader who can transform Ghana for all citizens, not just a privileged few. Leadership is not about popularity or credentials; it’s about vision, competence, and the ability to inspire trust.
Not all good materials are usable at every moment. Some may be admirable, but when tested, they lack the temperament and competence required for leadership. Such individuals, when placed in positions of power, pose risks to national progress and public confidence.
The Crisis of Confidence in Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia
Dr. Bawumia’s tenure as Vice President has been marked by:
Economic mismanagement Excessive borrowing Failed policies like the E-Levy Digitalization setbacks Corruption scandals Weak leadership and divisiveness within the NPP
Despite his academic background in economics, Ghana under his watch faced severe financial instability, leading to IMF intervention. His digital transformation agenda faltered, and his promises often went unfulfilled. Public trust eroded, and his leadership failed to unify the party or inspire the grassroots.
The Rise of Ato Forson and the NDC’s Young Leaders. In contrast, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson has demonstrated remarkable economic leadership in just a few months. His efforts in currency stabilization, fiscal discipline, and restoring investor confidence have earned him nationwide praise. Alongside other brilliant NDC leaders like Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, Sammy Gyamfi, Felix Ofosu, Aseidu, Debrah and Haruna Iddrisu represent a new generation of trusted leadership.
Strategic Unity Within the NPP. Given the current political dynamics, it would be wise for Dr. Bryan Acheampong and Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum to rally behind Kennedy Agyapong, who leads with 51.4% support among delegates. Kennedy’s populist appeal, media presence, and entrepreneurial background make him a compelling candidate for the future.
Kennedy Agyapong: A Leader of Purpose. Kennedy Agyapong has consistently earned the trust of ordinary Ghanaians. Unlike Bawumia, Kennedy interacts directly with the grassroots, offers practical solutions, and leads with vision. His business acumen and fearless advocacy position him as a leader who can challenge the status quo and restore hope.
Ghana Deserves Better. Ghana cannot afford another cycle of failed leadership. We need a president who embodies competence, integrity, and vision—not one who overpromises and underdelivers. The future of Ghana lies in the hands of leaders who understand the struggles of the people and have the courage to act decisively.
Let us rise above propaganda and choose leadership that transforms—not just governs.
