The much-anticipated National Delegates Conference is just a few days from today, Wednesday, July 16, 2025, as the rank and file of the Party are poised to embark on this journey.
I wish all patriots who are preparing from all walks of life to participate in this significant activity of the Party’s constitutional amendment, based on proposals received from members far and near.
Indeed, this significant step is part of the Party’s rebuilding, reorganization, restructuring, and reconnecting process for a united and formidable front going into the 2028 election.
Admittedly, our Party has been through a lot after the embarrassing, shocking, and humiliating defeat suffered by the National Democratic Congress, NDC.
In fact, many are still in shock, and some are still recovering from the pain of the Party’s shambolic performance, which continued to linger on their minds.
It’s an undeniable fact that the primary objective of this conference is to deliberate and vote on the proposed amendments received by the Party’s Constitutional review committee.
Significantly, it will be in the best interest of the Party for delegates to focus basically on the proposed amendments to the constitution of the Party as part of the reforms to strengthen the structures of the Party.
As it stands now our Party’s future fortunes will dwell on the kind of reforms and amendments that will be effected on July 19, 2025, at the University of Ghana sports stadium complex.
Therefore, this calls for sober reflection on all patriots across the length and breadth of the Country to channel our energies, time, and resources into supporting viable reforms that will bring back confidence and a great sense of belonging.
Yes, we cannot throw our hands in despair simply because of the current situation of our beloved Party. This is even the appropriate moment for us to ponder deeply and forgive one another as a family.
I called for sober reflection in the sense that we can’t continue the blame game and expect an extraordinary comeback with a united and collaborative front fiercely ready for power.
Why do I say so? Which Party has ever made significant progress through the continuous blame game of one another after a shocking defeat which calls for strategic and proactive reforms?
In all humility, I urge all to reflect on the image of the Party, the progress of the Party, and put the collective interests of the Party at the top burner of discussion, devoid of divisive, selfish, and individual parochial interests.
Even though we all have our personal ambitions and aspirations, looking forward to championing reliable reforms or constitutional amendments will serve as the basis for the Party’s quick comeback to power.
In fact, The Theme for the conference is “Rebuilding Together with our values”. This theme alone should be our focal point, how to rebuild together, and the values of our beloved Party, NPP, must be cherished and protected.
Emphatically stated, we must vote on motions that will help strengthen the structures of our Party, well-grounded in facts, for the future of generations in the Party.
We can’t afford to let down the Party our forefathers toiled for and it’s high time for us to rally support behind effective and smart reforms that will reenergize the base of the Party going into future elections.
Instructively, discipline among ourselves as dedicated and loyal Party patriots plays an integral role when it comes to the unity and togetherness we are all calling for within the Party and beyond.
Realistically, indiscipline, self-seeking interests, and disrespect for the Party’s structure will rather erode the gains made and further create a disunited front.
Collectively, ideologies and values, and the spirit must be reignited and rekindled in the way we handle certain pertinent matters confronting the Party behind the scenes.
In summary, as we are all poised to embark on this valuable and important journey to fulfill another constitutional requirement of the Party, let’s put our differences aside and forge ahead in unison.
Through united and viable reforms, the NPP stands the chance of bouncing back stronger and in a grand style full of success and prosperity.
We are the New Patriotic Party (NPP: Development in Freedom) tagged in post. The Elephant is the winning symbol.
Long live NPP!
Long live the Elephant fraternity!
Shalom!
