Your Facebook page is truly awesome, lol. That you are a patriotic, clear headed and brave hearted American military wife, cannot be questioned. One also understands your indignation about the chest-beating gung-ho posh state capture rent seeking MAGA ruling-elites crowing about bombing Iran and pulverising its military industrial complex and nuclear enrichment infrastructure, and one feels compassion for you and all the military families that bear the brunt of wars that American forces fight in.
However, the real lesson the world needs to learn from the latest Middle East war America has began being sucked into inexorably, is that how one casts one’s vote in American election cycles actually has consequences.
In light of that truism, it’s clearly daft to allow oneself to be pigeonholed by clever politicians, whatever side of the spectrum they belong to. Being independent-minded matters a great deal for that reason. No question. As a rule, eternal vigilance by all citizens is important in keeping politicians in check in all democracies.
As for the perplexing desire of Iran’s mostly tyrannical and bloodthirsty mullahs – who answer to no one in Iran, by the way, it ought to be pointed out – to acquire nuclear weapons, let there be no doubt that it will eventually lead to the end of human civilisation were that to ever happen. It’s insane. No one wins in wars fought with nuclear weapons – all of which ideally should be destroyed so that humanity is finally shorn of a terrible weapon that should never have been invented or developed for deployment.
Even more worrying and frightening is the probability that wars will be the end of our species in the AI age, if instead of sinking taxpayers’ cash into the bottomless pit that avaricious military industrial complex entities represents, we don’t rather focus on making it impossible for ill-intentioned AI to be developed by bad actors. It’s a more terrifying prospect than even nuclear annihilation. No one can survive that living-death scenario.
Finally, one prays that God Almighty will give all America’s current leaders the wisdom and discernment not to be sucked into yet another never ending war in the Middle East. And may God bless all those who serve at home and abroad to keep Americans safe at this dangerous juncture in its history.
