A lecturer at the Kumasi Technical University (KsTU), Dr. Collins Kankam Kwarteng, has made a scathing remark about Ghanaian politicians.

According to Dr. Kwarteng, most politicians pursue further education abroad solely to manipulate the people they claim to serve.

Speaking on Otec FM’s morning show “Nyansapo” hosted by Kwaku Owusu Boateng, on Monday June 30, 2025, Dr. Kwarteng alleged that these politicians use foreign education to earn titles just to exploit their home country.

“We have dozens of politicians who went abroad just to learn the easy way of manipulating the people is becoming a politician,” he stated.

Dr. Kwarteng further claimed that these politicians craft policies that benefit themselves, not the masses, and use state funds to build personal wealth, leaving ordinary Ghanaians poorer.

“These politicians end up coming up with policies they know well will not benefit the masses,” he added.

He called on Ghanaians to be vigilant when electing leaders to ensure they bring people who will work in their interest.
