The Africa-China Centre for Policy and Advisory (ACCPA) is proud to announce the official launch of the Ghana-China Media Fellowship, a pioneering initiative aimed at equipping Ghanaian journalists with deeper insights and practical tools to effectively cover and analyze Ghana-China relations.

This 12-week program, scheduled to run on Saturdays at ACCPA’s office in Accra, will bring together a select cohort of 15 mid-to-senior-level media professionals from across the country. Participants will engage in interactive sessions on trade, investment, development cooperation, and diplomatic engagement between Ghana and China. The program will also feature Chinese language lessons, industrial visits, and media engagement activities designed to promote balanced and fact-based reporting.

The Media Fellowship is an ambitious effort to empower the Ghanaian media space with the knowledge and tools to help shape informed public discourse on one of the country’s most significant bilateral relationships.

“In a time where global narratives shape perceptions and policy, it is crucial that our journalists are equipped with the right context, language, and perspective to tell the Ghana-China story,” said Paul Frimpong, Executive Director of ACCPA.

Applications Now Open
Applications for the program are officially open and can be submitted via the ACCPA website at www.africachinacentre.org. The application deadline is May 21, 2025.

Application Form: https://africachinacentre.org/ghana-china-media-fellowship-2025/

Shortlisted applicants will be contacted for a virtual interview, which constitutes the final phase of the selection process. Only successful candidates from the interview stage will be invited to join the 2025 cohort.

ACCPA invites journalists and media professionals with a keen interest in international affairs, development reporting, and Africa-China relations to apply and become part of a transformative learning experience that combines theory with real-world exposure.
