Adoato Chief donates GH50,000 to support Heal Komfo Anokye Project

The Chief of Adoato, Nana Amoah Tebe IV, has donated GH₵50,000 in support of the Heal Komfo Anokye Project, a flagship initiative aimed at revitalising the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.

The donation was made on Wednesday, June 19, 2025, at the Manhyia Palace during the observance of Awukudae, a significant event in the Asante traditional calendar.

In addition to joining the Chiefs of Asanteman to pay homage to Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene, Nana Amoah Tebe IV also expressed his gratitude to the King for granting him the necessary permissions and blessings for the successful organisation of the May for Adoato 2025 festival.

“May for Adoato” was a week-long celebration introduced by Nana Amoah Tebe IV to promote and preserve the rich cultural heritage of Asanteman. The event culminated on June 1, 2025, with a grand homecoming and a sod-cutting ceremony to mark the beginning of construction on an ultramodern palace for the Adoato community.

Other highlights of the festival included community games, a clean-up exercise, and an inter-school cultural showcase—all aimed at fostering unity and pride among residents.

In an earlier interaction with the media, Nana Amoah Tebe IV reaffirmed his commitment to youth development in the area. He announced plans to introduce an initiative focused on vocational training and skills acquisition to help young people become financially independent and lead meaningful lives.

On the subject of education, he also pledged to revive dormant vocational institutions and enhance support for basic schools in the community—measures he believes will significantly improve educational standards in Adoato.
