Anloga MCE hopeful, Joseph Agbeko Kpogo, promises to build a permanent party office for the constituency

Joseph Agbeko Kpogo, an aspiring Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Anloga, has announced plans to construct a permanent party office for the constituency, a move he believes will enhance the efficiency of party operations and provide a suitable space for executives and members.

Speaking to party members and supporters, Kpogo highlighted the urgent need for a dedicated office. He emphasised that the current arrangement—where the party operates from a rented apartment—is neither sustainable nor reflective of the party’s long-term vision for the area.

“Our party deserves a permanent and well-equipped office space where executives and members can work efficiently, free from the limitations of a rented facility. It is time for a structure to be established that will serve the constituency for years to come, ensuring smooth administration and better coordination of party activities,” Kpogo stated.

A vision for party strength and stability

Kpogo explained that the construction of a new party office is just one of many initiatives he plans to implement to strengthen the party at the grassroots level. He believes that having a permanent headquarters will not only ease administrative work but also serve as a rallying point for party members and supporters.

The proposed office is expected to include modern facilities such as meeting rooms, an administrative block, storage for party documents, and a resource centre for political education and strategic planning. Kpogo stressed that the office would be designed to reflect the party’s stature and commitment to growth.

“A strong party structure begins with a solid foundation. A permanent office will provide stability, boost morale, and ensure that our operations are not disrupted by rental issues,” he added.

Residents and party faithful applaud the initiative

The announcement has been met with widespread approval from residents and party members in the Anloga Municipality. Many see Kpogo’s initiative as a sign of his commitment not only to advancing party interests but also to fostering broader development in the constituency.

David Adzah, a resident and youth organiser, expressed optimism about the project, stating, “This is exactly the kind of leadership we need—someone who is forward-thinking and ready to put the right structures in place. A permanent party office will make work easier for our executives and provide a proper space for planning and coordination.”

Madam Comfort Adzomani, another resident, emphasised that Kpogo’s vision for a new party office aligns with his reputation as a grassroots leader who understands the constituency’s needs.

“He has already proven himself with various developmental projects, and now he is focusing on strengthening the party structure. This is why we believe he is the right person to lead the municipality,” she remarked.

Calls for his nomination as MCE grow louder

With the vetting and nomination process for the next Municipal Chief Executive underway, calls for Joseph Agbeko Kpogo to be appointed have intensified. His supporters argue that his track record in community development, including projects like the construction of the Woe Bridge and streetlight installations in various parts of the municipality, makes him the best candidate for the role.

“If we want real development in Anloga, then Joseph Agbeko Kpogo is the right man for the position. He has already done so much, and we believe that as MCE, he will have even greater capacity to bring more projects to our constituency,” said Michael Kpeli, a party delegate.

As the National Vetting Committee deliberates on the appointment, many in Anloga are hopeful that Kpogo’s leadership, vision, and commitment to development will be recognised. Residents believe that his nomination would not only solidify the party’s base but also pave the way for a new era of progress in the Anloga Municipality.

The question now remains: Will the authorities listen to the voices of the people and give Joseph Agbeko Kpogo the opportunity to serve as MCE and bring his transformative vision to life?
