In a strong demonstration of his commitment to quality education and youth development, the Assemblymember for Wuxor, Have, and Sremanu Electoral Area, Japhet Festus Gbede, on Wednesday, presented essential academic supplies and refreshments to Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) candidates from his jurisdiction.

During his visit to several examination centres within the Akatsi South Municipality, Gbede donated mathematical sets to all candidates from Wuxor, Have, and Sremanu, along with 40 bags of sachet water to ensure their comfort during the ongoing examinations.

Addressing the candidates, the assemblymember encouraged them to approach the exams with courage, focus, and determination, assuring them of the community’s unwavering support.

In a bid to further inspire academic excellence, Gbede announced a special reward package for any candidate who scores between aggregate 6 and 12, a gesture that was met with excitement and renewed confidence among the students.

“As an electoral area, we are poised to become the headquarters of grassroots development,” Gbede declared. “With your support and commitment to excellence, we will transform our communities through education, infrastructure, and inclusive leadership.”

Speaking to the media after the presentation, Japhet Festus Gbede emphasised his continuous commitment to educational development within his Electoral Area.

“These students are the future of our communities. It is our responsibility to give them the support and motivation they need at this critical stage. Beyond today, I remain ready to respond to any urgent academic needs they may have,” he assured.

Teachers and students expressed immense gratitude for the timely intervention, describing it as a morale booster and a demonstration of true grassroots leadership.

Japhet Festus Gbede has become widely known in the Akatsi South Municipality for his consistent advocacy for quality education and his active involvement in community development initiatives. His latest gesture reaffirms his dedication to the welfare of the youth and the educational advancement of his people.
