The newly appointed District Chief Executive (DCE) for Atiwa East, Ernest Owusu Ntim, has underscored the need for collective effort to spur development and attract investment into the district.

Addressing heads of departments of the Atiwa East District Assembly during his official introduction at Anyinam, Mr Owusu Ntim pledged his commitment to work collaboratively to advance the development agenda of President John Mahama and the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

“I want to assure you that as the President’s representative in the district, my doors are open to everyone. You can come with your suggestions on how we can move the district forward in terms of development and other issues,” he said.

The DCE made it clear that his administration will be inclusive and result-oriented, encouraging staff to identify and leverage opportunities for income generation and enhanced service delivery.

“I’m here to ensure that President Mahama’s ambition of resetting the country is achieved. So, collaborate with me so that together, we can make it happen,” he urged.

The District Coordinating Director, Shakil Mahamood, who introduced the DCE to staff, assured him of a cordial and cooperative working relationship with all departments to help realise the district’s development goals.

“On behalf of all heads of department, I want to assure you that we are ready to work with you in a constructive environment to ensure the progress of the district,” Mr Mahamood said.

As part of the engagement, each department head had the opportunity to brief the DCE on their scope of work, ongoing projects, key programmes, and the challenges confronting their units.

The session provided the DCE with a broad overview of the assembly’s operations and highlighted areas that require urgent intervention.

Mr Owusu Ntim’s call for teamwork signals a leadership style anchored on inclusion, transparency, and shared responsibility—factors he believes are crucial for attracting investment and accelerating development in Atiwa East.
