An Accra Circuit Court has sentenced a 29-year-old mobile banker, Aziz Suleman, to five years imprisonment for stealing GH¢70,840 from Abii National Savings and Loans. Suleman, charged with stealing, pleaded guilty and was convicted by Mr. Jojo Amoah Hagan, who also ordered him to refund GH¢58,840. He had earlier paid GH¢12,000 to the police during investigations. Togo has suspended broadcasts of French state-funded international news outlets RFI and France 24 for three months, its communications authority said on Monday, accusing them of a lack of impartiality and rigour.
