Bekwai MP Lawyer Ralph breaks perceived factions; unites former Bekwai MPs after 20 years of feud

In a historic move, Hon. Ralph Poku-Adusei, the current Member of Parliament for Bekwai, has successfully united two former Bekwai MPs, Hon. Joseph Osei-Owusu, the immediate past 1st Deputy Speaker of Parliament, and a former Deputy Minister of Local Government and Fisheries in ex-President Kufuor’s administration, Hon. I. Kofi Poku-Adusei.

This remarkable feat brings an end to the perceived factions and rivalry in the constituency that had persisted since 2008. The three leaders came together to grant an interview at Nkomo FM, a local radio station, to send a strong message of unity and reconciliation to all party members and constituents.

During the interview, discussions centred on party unity, development in the constituency, and strategies for rebranding and strengthening the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the constituency.

The meeting was also attended by the constituency chairman, Alex Arko A. Darkwa, who described the occasion as “a dream come true.”

Callers into the program praised Hon. Ralph Poku-Adusei for his ingenuity in bringing the experienced stalwarts together. This move is seen as a significant step towards healing old wounds and promoting unity within the party.

The unity of the three leaders serves as a clarion call to all party members who had diverted their support to an independent candidate due to perceived factions between the two former leaders. It’s a testament to the power of unity and reconciliation in politics.

As the constituency looks forward to a brighter future, Hon. Ralph Poku-Adusei’s leadership has demonstrated that even the most seemingly insurmountable differences can be bridged for the greater good.
