The bridge is in a bad state
Elder Simon Ampaabeng Kyeremeh, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Berekum East Constituency in the Bono Region, has pledged to fix the Papaase wooden bridge in the area.
The current condition of the bridge is very poor, making it difficult for vehicles and motorists to use. During his visit to Kotaa, a farming community, the MP assured the residents that he was committed to alleviating their plight.
In an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA), Elder Kyeremeh also promised to rehabilitate the Kotaa Kindergarten block and repair a malfunctioning mechanised borehole.
The KG block was severely damaged by a storm that hit the community, forcing the schoolchildren to learn under trees.
Moses Kwame Asamoah, the Headmaster of the Municipal Assembly School, thanked the MP for his visit and expressed hope that he would expedite action to help address the community’s pressing needs.
