Daryl is living what he once considered a distant dream — and now, he’s sharing the extraordinary journey that has taken him to the very heart of American democracy and global diplomacy.

“I still can’t quite believe it, but here I am — embarking on a journey that I once only dreamed about,” Daryl wrote on Facebook. “Not only have I had the honor of touring the White House and the US Capitol, but the real story here is something even more extraordinary!”

That “real story” is his selection into the U.S. State Department’s International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) — a prestigious and highly competitive initiative for emerging global leaders. Daryl joins the 2025 cohort under the theme: “Advancing Economic Prosperity: Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development.”

“I am truly humbled to share that I’ve been selected to participate in the U.S. State Department’s International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP), themed ‘Advancing Economic Prosperity: Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development,’” he announced. “This highly competitive selection process has been rigorous, but the opportunity to engage with thought leaders and fellow changemakers on a global scale is nothing short of a privilege.”

The IVLP has an impressive legacy, counting among its alumni prominent world leaders — including Ghana’s own former President John Agyekum Kufuor. As Daryl noted, “The International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) has cultivated a distinguished network of alumni, including influential world leaders, such as former President John Agyekum Kufuor of Ghana. These heads of state and global figures have made lasting contributions to shaping international relations and global development.”

While in the U.S., Daryl is eager to absorb knowledge, forge meaningful connections, and bring those lessons back home. “I am looking forward to the tremendous learning experience in the U.S., which will undoubtedly deepen my understanding of entrepreneurship, innovation, and small business development,” he shared. “I am equally excited about bringing back these lessons and insights to Ghana — where I am committed to contributing to the growth and development of our entrepreneurial ecosystem.”

But it’s not just about the U.S. — it’s about the global network he’ll be immersed in. “The opportunity to meet and exchange ideas with participants from around the world is something I’m particularly thrilled about,” he said. “The wealth of knowledge and diverse experiences we’ll share will undoubtedly provide fresh perspectives and strategies for fostering growth both locally and globally.”

He concluded the heartfelt post with a powerful note: “Here’s to the power of connection, collaboration, and continuous learning!”

From Accra to Washington, Daryl’s journey is a celebration!
