The latest round of European football action saw Ghanaian players make significant contributions to their clubs. From the English Premier League to the French Ligue 1 and the Greek Super League, the Black Stars shone bright.

As the World Cup qualifiers loom, Ghanaian players abroad are hitting top gear, giving national team coach Otto Addo a welcome selection headache.

Here is a rundown of how the Ghanaian players abroad fared in Europe over the weekend.

Thomas Partey, Arsenal

Thomas Partey proved to be the difference-maker for Arsenal in their high-stake clash with Manchester City. Just 1:45 seconds after Erling Haaland’s equalizer, Partey’s deflected shot handed the Gunners a crucial lead. With three goals and two assists in the Premier League this season, Partey’s influence in midfield continues to drive Arsenal’s success. His fine form will be crucial for Ghana’s World Cup qualification bid.

Kamaldeen Sulemana, Southampton

Kamaldeen Sulemana’s impact off the bench helped Southampton secure a vital win, only their second of the season. His shot, rebounded into the net by Onuachu, sealed three crucial points for the struggling Saints. As Southampton battles to avoid relegation, Sulemana’s contributions will be invaluable. His pace and skill will also be a valuable asset for Ghana in the World Cup qualifiers.

Brandon Thomas-Asante, Coventry City

Brandon Thomas-Asante continued his scintillating form, scoring in his fourth consecutive game for Coventry City. His clinical finish against Swansea showcased his pace, skill, and precision. Thomas-Asante’s emergence as a goal-scoring sensation has energized Coventry City’s campaign. His fine form will give Otto Addo a welcome selection option for Ghana’s World Cup qualifiers.

Andre Ayew, Le Havre

Andre Ayew demonstrated his enduring quality, scoring his third league goal of the season in Le Havre’s draw with Angers. Ayew’s experience and vision continue to benefit Le Havre, making him a vital component of their attacking lineup. His leadership and goal-scoring ability will be crucial for Ghana in the World Cup qualifiers.

Baba Rahman, PAOK

Baba Rahman’s impressive form persisted, despite PAOK’s narrow defeat to AEK Athens. His fifth goal of the season highlighted his attacking prowess and set-piece expertise. Rahman’s contributions have been instrumental in PAOK’s campaign, making him a fan favorite. His attacking threat will also be a valuable asset for Ghana in the World Cup qualifiers.

As the European football season unfolds, Ghanaian players abroad will be crucial to their clubs success. With their talent, dedication, and perseverance, they will undoubtedly make a lasting impact.

As the World Cup qualifiers approach, Ghanaian players abroad are hitting top gear. With their fine form and dedication, they will play a crucial role in helping the Black Stars secure qualification for the global showpiece.
