Nigeria head coach Eric Chelle has announced a formidable squad for the upcoming Unity Cup match against Ghana on May 28, set to take place in Brentford.
The Unity Cup, an Afro-Caribbean international football competition, is set to make a triumphant return after a 21-year hiatus.
The tournament, featuring Ghana, Nigeria, Trinidad and Tobago, and Jamaica, serves as a crucial warm-up for the Black Stars and the Super Eagles ahead of September’s 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
Nigeria, two-time winners of the Unity Cup, will play against arch rivals Ghana in the second semi-final on Wednesday, 28 May.
Ghana, currently topping their qualifying group after wins against Chad and Madagascar, will look to avenge their 2-1 defeat to Nigeria in March 2024. The stakes are high as these football rivals face off once again.
Notably, Victor Osimhen and Samuel Chukwueze Boniface are not part of the squad.
Below is Nigeria’s full squad for the Unity Cup tie.
The final round of matches will be held on Saturday, 31 May, featuring a third-place playoff followed by the final to decide the 2025 Unity Cup champion.
