The Black Stars defender joined his Brighton and Hove Albion teammates this week for training ahead of their Premier League match against West Ham United. Lamptey was absent for Ghana’s World Cup qualifiers in March against Chad and Madagascar due to the injury.
Brighton manager Fabian Hurzeler is likely to give him a role in the game against West Ham as the Seagulls continue their push for a European spot finish.
The 24-year-old has been exceptional for Brighton in the current campaign despite struggling with injuries.
One of his notable performances for the English outfit was his impressive display against Chelsea at the Amex Stadium, where he made five clearances, three recoveries, won four duels, and completed 21/25 accurate passes in a match where Brighton defeated Chelsea 3-0.
The former Chelsea defender has made 13 Premier League appearances this season, scoring two goals and providing two assists.
Despite his impressive performance for The Seagulls, his future at the club remains uncertain with two months left on his current contract, and he has been reportedly linked with a move to Ajax in the Netherlands and other elite European clubs.
Meanwhile, the young talented fullback is expected to be available for the Black Stars of Ghana in May for the Four Nation tournament (Unity Cup) which is scheduled to take in London.
