By partnering with Gridless Compute and leveraging a groundbreaking holy grail clean power idea by a Ghanaian innovator, we can potentially generate clean energy to power bitcoin mining, generating revenue to support a massive tree-planting initiative.
This innovative concept promises emission-free megawatt-scale electricity that’s reliable and cheaper than traditional sources like nuclear and hydropower. The benefits are multifaceted: sequestering carbon emissions, boosting Ghana’s economy, and creating alternative employment opportunities for those engaged in environmentally destructive activities. By providing viable green economic alternatives, this initiative could curb galamsey and other ecocidal crimes devastating Ghana’s biodiversity-rich forest reserves.
The project will be piloted on a 14-square-mile upland evergreen rainforest in the Akyem Juaso section of the Atewa Range, a Globally Significant Biodiversity Area generously provided by my family. Clean energy will power bitcoin mining, with revenue channelled into reforestation efforts, creating a sustainable feedback loop driving economic growth while protecting the environment.
