Reverend Ransford Obeng, General Overseer of Calvary Charismatic Center Reverend Ransford Obeng, General Overseer of Calvary Charismatic Center

Reverend Ransford Obeng, General Overseer of Calvary Charismatic Center (CCC), has called on Ghanaians to embrace honesty in all aspects of their lives as they enter the new year. Speaking to the media in Ayigya on Tuesday night, after the church’s end-of-year service, Reverend Obeng emphasized that honesty is crucial for both individual well-being and national progress.

“As we enter into the new year, all I am asking Ghanaians is for them to deal honestly with themselves so that nobody is shortchanged in what they deserve or have worked for,” the CCC General Overseer stated.

Reverend Obeng highlighted that dishonesty, including corruption, has become widespread in Ghanaian society. He noted that this issue is not limited to politicians, but also extends to pastors and individuals in positions of authority within both public and private sectors. He decried behaviors such as bribery, extortion, under-invoicing, and petty theft as impediments to the country’s advancement.

“Most times people think only politicians are corrupt, but pastors and some persons in authority, especially in public and private places, dupe people, steal and extort from them,” Reverend Obeng stated. He added that by abandoning these negative behaviors, Ghana can achieve its desired growth and development.

The CCC leader further urged Ghanaians to support the incoming NDC government through prayer, hard work, and positive attitudes. He stressed the importance of diligence and productivity, asserting that God blesses the work people do, enabling them to prosper in life.

Furthermore, Reverend Obeng cautioned the clergy to remain focused on their core mission of spreading the gospel of Christ, rather than engaging in political prophecies that he said can disrupt the hearts of men. “Our mandate as men of God is clear: we are to consciously and intentionally preach Christ Jesus to our congregation and the population since it is only by accepting Jesus as our Savior can we live fulfilled lives,” Reverend Obeng concluded.
