In commemoration of World Environment Day 2025, the Coalition of Concerned Nzema People (CCNP), in collaboration with the Ghana Environmental Advocacy Group (GEAG), will host a media-focused dialogue themed “The Domunli and Its Significance to the People.”

The event is set to take place on Thursday, June 5, 2025, in Bonyere, aiming to spotlight the profound environmental, cultural, and economic importance of Domunli and its surrounding ecosystems.

The dialogue will serve as a platform to bring together journalists, environmental advocates, community stakeholders, and opinion leaders to explore Domunli’s critical role in supporting local livelihoods, preserving cultural heritage, and sustaining biodiversity. Discussions will focus on how this vital region contributes to the well-being of its people and the ecological balance of the area, fostering a deeper understanding of its significance.

Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with captivating visuals and narratives that highlight the natural beauty of Domunli, from its picturesque coastline and lush forests to its essential wetlands.

These presentations will underscore the urgent need to protect this unique ecosystem, emphasizing its value for both current and future generations.

The event will also address the pressing environmental challenges threatening Domunli, including issues that jeopardize its sustainability.

By fostering open dialogue, the CCNP and GEAG aim to inspire collective action and innovative strategies to ensure the region’s resources are preserved and utilized responsibly.
