The recent suspension of Mr. Terrence Patrick Moran, 65, by the Management of ABC News, the major subsidiary of the Walt Disney Company, was very predictable, especially coming in the wake of the widely publicized defamation settlement by the Network involving some allegedly unflattering remarks that Mr. George Stephanopoulos, the estranged former Press Secretary of the William Jefferson Blythe Clinton – aka Bill Clinton – White House and currently a flagship anchor of ABC News, about the perceived conduct of President Donald J. Trump, which we learn the ABC Network Executives settled for some $16 million (USD) – (See “ABC Suspends Terry Moran for Calling Stephen Miller a ‘World-Class’ Hater’” New York Times 6/8/25).
The Stephanopoulos Faux-Pas, of course, rendered ABC News vulnerable to politically motivated charges of inveterate animus or antipathy for the Trump 2.0 Administration, although the case of Terry Moran is contextually and significantly different, in view of the fact that unlike his colleague, namely, Mr. Stephanopoulos, Mr. Moran, who holds the professional title of ABC’s Senior National Correspondent, made his equally unflattering remarks about Mr. Stephen Miller, the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Trump Administration and, we are informed, President Trump on Social Media, rather than a live or an on-air ABC News production or presentation (See “Terry Moran Suspended at ABC News After Posting That White House Deputy Chief Stephen Miller Is a ‘World-Class’ Hater” Variety 6/8/25).
The apparent problem here is the gaping naivety of our protagonist, that is, Mr. Moran who, by the way, is only a couple, or so, years older than this author, also a professionally trained journalist with more than 30 years of practical and teaching experience, not to have readily recognized the fact that expressing his decidedly withering albeit largely private and personal opinions on both President Trump and his Deputy Chief of Staff in a major cyber forum like the Elon Musk-owned and closely monitored “X,” formerly called “Twitter,” was only virtually as private and personal as Mr. Stephanopoulos’ allegedly unflattering and legally libelous and/or defamatory remarks about the twice, nonconsecutively elected President Donald John Trump.
Other than the preceding observations, the remarks that Mr. Moran is widely reported to have made in respect of Messrs. Trump and Miller are unarguably pedestrian, if also primarily because they are gravid with opinions and sentiments shared across the entire ideological spectrum of America’s political landscape and culture, including a remarkable percentage of the membership of the so-called Conservative or Neoconservative Community, which, in effect, means a critical mass of Republican Party-affiliated American citizens and residents. We all vividly remember Vice-President James David “JD” Vance once tagging his now-boss as America’s latter-day Chancellor Adolf Hiter. Was that also a striking case of a “Vancian Meltdown,” as Mr. Miller would have the rest of us believe about the mental state of Mr. Moran just this past Sunday night, when the suspended ABC News’ correspondent reportedly wrote the uncomplimentary remarks attributed to him by the media?
As well, calling Mr. Moran a “privileged” and a “radical” journalist does not get powerful and influential politicians like Mr. Miller and Vice-President Vance very far, because anybody with adequate or remarkable knowledge and appreciation for American history over the past half millennium, is well aware of the fact that relatively “radical” bona fide American citizens like a Neoliberal Terry Moran were the ones whose enviable moral advocacy culminated in the legal abolition and the proscription of the chattel enslavement of Continental Africans right here in the United States of America.
As well, while, indeed, a critical mass of American citizens may be in perfect agreement with the imperative need to reconfigure and streamline the current immigration crisis facing the country, it also equally goes without saying that the Trump-championed Make America Great Again (MAGA) ideology and operational policy agenda and pursuit runs inexcusably contrary to the dignity and the humanity of Continental Africans and Our Present-Day African American Relatives and Kinsfolk. We are here also referring to the strategically scandalous and the morally and politically genocidal attempt by the crusading MAGA Revolutionaries – Now, let’s talk about who the “Real Radicals” are – to completely and thoroughly erase the memory of the significant and the seminal contributions made by the Pre-Trumpian Ancestors of Continental Africans and Our African American Relatives to the creation and the development of Modern American Civilization.
Now, he does not use these exact same words, but it is inescapably clear that when Mr. Moran writes about the hate-saturated political agenda of the key operatives of the Trump Administration, the Chicago, Illinois, native is alluding to the Executive-Decree orchestration of the genocidal proscription of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion “DEI” policy initiatives geared towards the creation of equal opportunities for the eons marginalized Non-European Americans, as well as women and the members of the LGBTQ Community of bona fide American citizens and residents at large.
In the process of the Agenda-2025 attempt at the statutory erasure and the obliteration of Pan-African dignity and humanity, the Trump-commandeered MAGA Crusaders have found it strategically convenient to foreground “Antisemitism” as the “New Original Sin” of Contemporary American Culture and Civilization, instead of the politically and the morally genocidal expropriation and the wanton exploitation of Global African Humanity.
Now, contrary to what Vice-President Vance – one week shy of one-year-old when Yours Truly arrived here in New York City and the United States of America – would have the rest of us believe, what is “absolutely vile smear” is not really Mr. Moran’s description of Mr. Miller as a “World-Class Hater” who ravenously operates on “bile” rather than “brains” and “spiritually [and voraciously] feeds on hatred,” but rather the wholesale characterization of undocumented immigrants and migrants as “invaders” and “criminal insurrectionists.” This is typical “Replacement Theory” bile.
After all, what is the real and true history of European Presence in the Americas, in particular the United States of America, starting from the Mid-1400s to the Present? Powerful and influential Americans like Messrs. Trump, Vance, Marco Rubio and Miller, to name only a handful, ought to be looking at the proverbial “Man-in-the-Mirror” and not Terrence Patrick Moran, no moron he, to be explicitly certain. And by the way, it is unspeakably condescending and grossly miseducated for American politicians like Karoline Leavitt and Stephen Miller, who are the “privileged” political bullies, to cavalierly and facilely presume themselves to be the “Manifest Agenda Setters” for the rest of Global Humanity. Terry Moran is definitely a Hero and a veritable victim of “Truth Socialism” deviously packaged, paraded and retailed as the “New Norm” of Civilized Humanity.
