A disturbing video has emerged online, sparking outrage and calls for immediate action.

The footage, shared in a post by Sikaofficial on X (formerly Twitter) on July 17, 2025, appears to show uniformed military personnel and other individuals, believed to be part of an anti-galamsey task force, brutally assaulting a person suspected of engaging in illegal mining.

The graphic nature of the video has quickly gone viral, igniting widespread public concern.

Although the exact location of the incident has not yet been officially confirmed, the video vividly depicts the alleged assault, with the victim clearly seen being subjected to physical violence.

Authorities say they are investigating the authenticity of the footage.

The incident has already drawn responses from various human rights organisations, who are demanding a thorough investigation and accountability for all those involved.
