Member of Parliament, for Jomoro Constituency, Dorcas Afo Toffey
The Member of Parliament for the Jomoro Constituency in the Western Region, Dorcas Afo-Toffey, has pledged to work closely with the Jomoro MCE nominee, Benedict Boadi.
The confirmation of Benedict Boadi as Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Jomoro is expected to take place at Half Assini in two weeks.
Dorcas Afo-Toffey expressed optimism that Benedict Boadi, who is the Assembly Member for the Nawule Electoral Area, would be confirmed by the assembly members in the Jomoro Municipality.
She described Boadi as a hardworking young man and a good team player who deserves the nomination.
“Heartfelt congratulations to Hon. Benedict Boadi on your well-deserved appointment as Municipal Chief Executive,” she said.
“Your dedication and service are truly commendable. I look forward to working closely with you as we continue to build a better Jomoro and serve our beloved motherland,” she pledged.
The MP also took the opportunity to thank former President John Dramani Mahama for reposing confidence in Benedict Boadi to drive development in the Jomoro Municipality.
On his part, Benedict Boadi expressed appreciation to former President Mahama for choosing him among thousands in the Jomoro Municipality.
“I would like to express my deepest appreciation to His Excellency John Dramani Mahama and the good people of Jomoro for bestowing their trust and confidence in me by considering my nomination as Municipal Chief Executive,” he said.
He further extended gratitude to the National, Regional, Constituency, and Branch Executives of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), as well as traditional authorities, opinion leaders, and other stakeholders for their unwavering support and guidance throughout the process.
Boadi pledged to work tirelessly for the development of the municipality in the interest of all.
“This milestone signifies the dawn of a new chapter in the developmental agenda of our municipality. My office shall remain open and accessible to all, regardless of political affiliation, as we collectively pursue inclusive growth and ensure the fair and equitable distribution of development across every corner of Jomoro,” he stated.
He concluded with a firm commitment to leadership values, “Dedication, commitment, results-driven leadership, and strict adherence to due process shall be the guiding principles of my administration as we work tirelessly to make Jomoro a better, more prosperous place for all.”
Benedict Boadi currently serves as the NDC Constituency Organiser for Jomoro.
