Organisers of the Diaspora Property Expo 2025 (DPE2025) scheduled for Philadelphia, United States from March 21 to March 23, have met with the Minister of Works, Housing and Water Resources, Kenneth Gilbert Adjei, at his office in Accra to discuss the upcoming event.

DPE2025 aims mainly at facilitating property acquisition back home for Ghanaians in North America.

The expo is being organised by the Diaspora Property Investment Ltd, Made in Ghana Consulting Ltd, Ghana Real Estate Developers Association (GREDA), World Trade Centre of Philadelphia, Nkunim Diaspora City in Mankessim and Atomu Africa Development Services.

They are in partnership with outfits such as the Ministry of Works, Housing and Water Resources, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ghana Embassy in Washington DC, Office of Representative Amen Brown of Pennsylvania and Office of the Mayor of Philadelphia.

In all, about 25 exhibitors in various areas of the real estate and property space in Ghana have registered to participate in the maiden edition of the DPE, which comes off at the 1735 Market Street in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

During the meeting, the DPE2025 delegation briefed the Minister on the expo’s objectives and underscored the Ministry’s long-standing partnership with the organisers in connecting Ghanaian real estate developers with diasporan investors in the USA and Canada.

Present at the meeting was Mr. Thomas Young, President of the World Trade Center of Philadelphia who is currently visiting Ghana ahead of the expo. He expressed his appreciation for the Ministry’s backing and extended warm regards from his organisation and the City of Pennsylvania.

“Beyond the expo, there are other opportunities for long-term collaboration between Ghana and the United States, which could yield significant economic benefits for both nations,” Mr Young stated at the meeting.

Also in attendance were Nana Kwesi Atomu II of Atomu Africa Development, Sidney Justin Tehoda, Verus Nartey, and Nana Obokese, CEO of Nkunim Diaspora City, along with other representatives from Diaspora Property Investment Limited.

The Minister and his team engaged in fruitful discussions on strengthening collaboration to promote Ghana’s real estate industry to a global audience. He congratulated the DPE2025 organisers on their efforts and assured them of the Ministry’s continued support in making the expo a success.

As DPE2025 approaches, it has become clearer that sound partnership between the Ghanaian government and the private sector is important in placing the country as a prime real estate investment destination for the diaspora community.
