Dr. Mike Amofa Dankwah, a renowned philanthropist and public health specialist, has taken on the responsibility of renovating the Agona Duakwa A.E.D.A KG/Primary ‘A’ School after a report by Kobby Kyei News shed light on the dilapidated state of the institution.

The report, published five days ago, highlighted the poor teaching and learning environment, sparking concern among the community. Moved by the plight of the students, Dr. Dankwah visited the school on January 22 to inspect the facilities and assess the scope of renovations needed.

During his visit, Dr. Dankwah met with the town’s chief, Nana Kojo Amuakwa V, to discuss his plans. The chief commended his gesture and pledged full support to ensure the project’s success.

Headmaster George Maxwell Asante expressed profound gratitude to Dr. Dankwah, describing the intervention as a solution to long-standing challenges that had driven students away. He noted that the school, one of Ghana’s oldest, established in 1928, had suffered neglect for years.

Dr. Dankwah’s initiative is expected to transform the physical learning environment, boost morale, and improve academic performance. His efforts underscore his dedication to community development and the power of journalism in effecting change.
