President John Dramani Mahama has reaffirmed his commitment to delivering on every promise made during the 2024 campaign, assuring the people of the Eastern Region and Ghanaians nationwide that his administration will not falter in its responsibilities.
Speaking to a jubilant crowd at Koforidua Jackson Park on Sunday, July 20, as part of his nationwide “Thank You Tour,” President Mahama expressed heartfelt appreciation for the trust placed in him during the last election.
“Thanks for the warm reception,” he told the enthusiastic audience. “Due to the confidence reposed in me by electing me once again as President, I promise not to disappoint you. With the grace of God, we will fulfil all our promises to the Eastern Region and Ghanaians as a whole.”
The Koforidua rally served as a significant stop in Mahama’s post-election tour, which is designed not only to thank voters but also to re-emphasise his administration’s key priorities and deepen its engagement with local communities. Party supporters and regional executives turned out in large numbers, waving NDC flags and chanting in celebration of the party’s return to power.
President Mahama’s message to the people carried a tone of unity and renewal, echoing the pillars of his 2024 campaign: infrastructure expansion, educational reforms, improved healthcare, and job creation.
Traditional leaders and community representatives at the event welcomed the President’s reassurances and urged him to tackle the pressing developmental challenges in the region, particularly deteriorating roads and the growing problem of youth unemployment.
With his second term underway, Mahama’s latest address underscores his administration’s intention to translate electoral promises into tangible outcomes—starting with regions that have long called for greater attention and investment.
