President John Dramani Mahama captured during an address
President John Dramani Mahama has pledged to make the Eastern Corridor Road a central focus of his administration’s infrastructure agenda, reaffirming his commitment to national integration and economic development through the enhancement of critical road networks in the Oti Region.
“The Eastern Corridor Road, one of our country’s most strategic transportation links, is a top priority under my administration,” Mahama declared during a tour of the region on Friday, July 25.
He noted that the Nkwanta–Kpassa–Oti Damanko stretch, a crucial part of the corridor, will not suffer any delays in completion under his watch.
Mahama further revealed that beyond the Eastern Corridor, several other key roads in the region are being processed for construction and rehabilitation.
These include the Dambai Bridge, as well as the Okadjakrom–Kwamikrom, Abotoase–Atonkor, Kpasa–Tinjase, Hohoe–Jasikan, Nkwanta–Oti Damanko, and Hohoe–Baika–Jasikan roads.
These projects, he assured, are at various stages of procurement and will commence soon. Mahama’s message to the people of Oti was clear: the region will no longer be left behind in Ghana’s infrastructure development drive.
