End blame games, let’s reorganize the party with unity — Ken Agyapong to NPP

Former Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, has called for an end to the blame games in the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

He holds the view that the time used to blame people for the party’s defeat must be used to forge ahead and rebuild the party.

To him, if the party comes together, winning the 2028 election will be an easy task.

“It’s time to end the blame games and forge ahead together as a party, and I know with unity we will win the 2028 election,” he said while addressing TESCON members at the Kintampo College of Health.

“We are not going to surrender. From 61 seats, we got 141 seats. It has happened before, and we can reorganize the party with unity. This is not the time for us to accuse anybody; let’s forge ahead. The people are dispair, they need hope and we have to give them hope, so we should stop accusing people and let’s analyze why we lost the election.

“There should be no intimidation; they should allow people to speak their minds and share their experiences, and with that, they are going to be the footsoldiers who are going to campaign to bring the NPP back to power. Ever since we lost the election I’ve not made a comment and this is the first time I am speaking and I believe that the NPP should have one voice. We should be united and with unity, we can win the 2028 elections,” he stated.

He added “Young men and women, have hope, have confidence. When you go back to your rooms tell your colleagues that the only party that can save Ghana is the NPP. Let’s also admit our mistakes and learn from our mistakes. To win power again, we have to put our mistakes aside and forge ahead with a new approach that will help us emerge in 2028 as a party in government.”
