Ernest Owusu speaking to the gathering after he was overwhelmingly confirmed

In a resounding show of confidence, Ernest Owusu Ntim has been unanimously confirmed as the District Chief Executive (DCE) for Atiwa East District, receiving 100% of the votes cast by the assembly members — 23 out of 23.
Visibly humbled by the endorsement, Owusu Ntim expressed deep gratitude to the assembly members for the trust and confidence reposed in him.
“It is a great honor and privilege to serve the people of this district. I am truly humbled and grateful,” he stated following his confirmation.
He assured the gathering of his unwavering commitment to servant leadership.
“I am here to serve, not to be served. My doors will always be open to hear your ideas, concerns, and suggestions. Together, we will strive toward the growth and development of Atiwa East,” he emphasised.
Owusu Ntim pledged to work collaboratively with all stakeholders — including assembly members, traditional leaders, opinion leaders, and the entire community — to tackle challenges and drive transformative change across the district.
He also acknowledged the significant responsibility ahead and vowed to work tirelessly to meet the expectations of the people.
“I’m ready to roll up my sleeves and get to work. I believe that with unity and collective effort, we can make Atiwa East a better place for all,” he affirmed.
Eastern Regional Minister, Rita Akosua Adjei Awatey, who presided over the confirmation ceremony, also expressed her appreciation to the assembly members for the unity and trust demonstrated through their unanimous vote.
“I thank all the assembly members for believing in leadership and in our collective mission. Your 100% vote is a clear sign of confidence and solidarity,” she said.
The confirmation marks the beginning of a new chapter for Atiwa East, with heightened expectations and renewed hope for inclusive and impactful local governance.
