The 2024/25 Premier League season may not be over yet but it’s been a forgettable one for Kudus and West Ham, so much so that the Ghanaian is looking ahead to next term.

Managerial changes, injuries and players being off colour have all compounded to the Hammers’ poor showing.

Prior to the season, a number of established players joined the club, leaving supported of the team believing achieving an European berth was possible this term.

However, West Ham have been worst than only the three relegated sides – Ipswich, Leicester and Southampton.

The general underwhelming levels of performance have affected the overall team, with individual players struggling to reach their full potential.

Kudus has scored four league goals this season – four less than he managed last season but is hopeful of better things.

“100% that will be the focus [pushing for a European and top half finish].That should be the standard in every season. Like I said, we take a lot of lessons from this downtime.”

“Every setback, for me personally, I see it as an opportunity to grow and focus on what is ahead, he told Sky Sports.

West Ham are winless in the league since February and face struggling Manchester United on Sunday.
