The swift intervention of personnel from the Mamponteng Division of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) prevented the blaze from spreading to other parts of the building.

A video shared by Accra-based TV3 showed the house on fire, with a section engulfed in smoke.

No casualties were reported. The police have commenced investigations into the incident.
