A significant step toward youth empowerment and employment has been taken in Amenfi Central, as the first cohort of beneficiaries under the Youth Employment Agency (YEA) program officially reported to their training centers.

A total of 28 young individuals are part of this inaugural group, poised to embark on promising career paths.

The start of their training received a major boost from the Member of Parliament for Amenfi Central, Joana Gyan Cudjoe, who provided substantial financial support to ensure a smooth onboarding process for the beneficiaries.

Gyan Cudjoe demonstrated her strong commitment to youth welfare by contributing a total of GH¢13,400.00.

Each of the 28 beneficiaries received GH¢300.00, amounting to GH¢8,400.00 in direct financial support.

Additionally, the MP donated GH¢5,000.00 to cover transportation costs for the entire group, easing their transition into the training program.

The first batch includes 19 individuals designated for Community Protection Assistant (CPA) roles and 9 others for Field Sanitation Assistant (FSA) positions — two vital roles that contribute significantly to community safety and public health within the constituency.

Representatives of the YEA program expressed heartfelt appreciation for the MP’s timely and impactful support.

“We are especially grateful to Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe, Member of Parliament for Amenfi Central, for her generous support.

“Her unwavering commitment to the development of Amenfi Central, and her continued prioritisation of youth welfare, is truly commendable and sets a remarkable example,” a statement from the agency read.

The successful reporting of this first batch, underscored by the MP’s significant support, marks a promising start for the YEA program in Amenfi Central.

It highlights a collaborative effort to equip young people with valuable skills, foster sustainable employment, and contribute meaningfully to the socio-economic development of the constituency.
