The Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund) has issued a strong warning to the public over a surge in fraudulent advertisements falsely claiming to offer employment or contract opportunities under its name.
In a statement released on Tuesday, June 25, 2025, the management of GETFund expressed concern about the spread of these deceptive notices, particularly on social media platforms. According to the Fund, these adverts are carefully crafted to defraud unsuspecting individuals and should be completely disregarded.
“GETFund does not solicit for contractors, suppliers or employees through such scandalous processes,” the statement emphasized. The public is therefore advised to always verify any such claims through the Fund’s official website or verified social media pages.
The statement also urged anyone who encounters these fraudulent adverts to report them immediately to the nearest police station or directly to the GETFund Secretariat, located at East Legon, opposite Trinity Theological Seminary.
GETFund reaffirmed its commitment to transparency and responsible governance, noting that it has consistently operated with strong corporate governance structures since its establishment.
The Fund advised the public to remain vigilant and avoid falling victim to these scams by refraining from making any payments or sharing personal information with individuals behind such schemes.
