The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has formally charged Elmina Sharks owner Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom for alleged misconduct during his team’s Division One League clash against Swedru All Blacks.

The incident, which took place at the Dr. Nduom Sports Complex, has come under heavy scrutiny from football authorities.

During a controversial penalty decision, Dr. Nduom entered the pitch without authorization to protest the referee’s call, leading to a disruption in the match.

His actions not only halted play but also drew strong reactions from match officials, raising concerns about the conduct of club owners during competitive fixtures. Additionally, the GFA accuses Dr. Nduom of inciting players, team officials, and supporters against the referees.

Reports suggest he used social media to fuel tensions, urging club officials and fans to confront the match officials, further escalating the situation.

As a result, Dr. Nduom now faces serious charges, including violations of the Division One League Regulations and the GFA Disciplinary Code. He has been given until Wednesday, February 19, 2025, to formally respond to the allegations.

The football community is closely watching how the case unfolds, as the GFA looks to enforce discipline and maintain fairness in the league.
