Ghana commits to global collaboration for Safer Digital World

The Minister for Communications, Digital Technology and Innovations, Mr Samuel Nartey George, has reiterated Ghana’s commitment to collaborating with the global community to create a safer and more resilient digital world.

He made this statement when he delivered a keynote address on Tuesday at the 2025 Octopus Conference, hosted by the Council of Europe in Strasbourg, France.

Speaking at the conference, he emphasized that the evolving nature of cyber threats requires a shared global responsibility.

He noted, “We must build bridges of cooperation and leverage the right tools, platforms, and resources to combat cybercrime collectively.”

Mr. George further called for the strengthening of transnational legal frameworks, fostering of mutual trust, and deepening of international collaboration to ensure that cyberspace remains a secure and enabling environment for all.

The Octopus Conference is a premier international forum that brings together representatives from governments, international organisations, the private sector, and academia to enhance cooperation in the fight against cybercrime.
