Black Stars head coach Otto Addo has described Ghana’s upcoming 2026 World Cup qualifier against Madagascar as a crucial showdown, comparing it to a final.
Ghana will take on Madagascar on Monday, March 24, 2025, at the Al Hoceima Stadium in Morocco.
Following their dominant 5-0 win over Chad last Friday, Otto Addo expects a much tougher challenge and believes his team must treat this match with the utmost seriousness.
“Everyone needs to be on their toes. This is like a small final, and if we win, we are really on course. Madagascar is a strong team, and it will be a tough game,” he said.
Ghana currently tops Group I with 12 points, while Madagascar sits just behind with 10 points.
With five matches played, a win for the Black Stars could put them in a commanding position to qualify for the 2026 World Cup.
