Bulgarian powerhouse FC Ludogorets Razgrad has been crowned champion, with 27-year-old forward Bernard Tekpetey lifting his fifth league trophy with the team.
Despite missing most of the season due to a serious knee injury, Tekpetey celebrated as Ludogorets secured the title following a win over Cherno More in the championship playoffs.
Olivier Verdon scored the opening goal just before halftime, and Swiss-Ghanaian striker Kwadwo Duah sealed the victory for the Eagles.
The speedy winger has won league titles in each of his five seasons with Ludogorets, accumulating nine trophies with the club.
This season, Tekpetey made seven appearances across all competitions, scoring twice.
He is expected to join his teammates for a title celebration at the Ludogorets Arena before their match against Levski.
As he continues his rehabilitation, Tekpetey is anticipated to play a crucial role for Ludogorets next season.
