Senior Presidential Advisor and Special Aide to President John Dramani Mahama, Joyce Bawah Mogtari, has touted the progress of the Mahama-led administration within its first 120 days in office.
She said unlike the previous government, the current administration is actively working and listening to Ghanaians to ensure their welfare and prosperity.
In a social media post on Thursday, May 15, Madam Bawah Mogtari urged citizens to remain calm and have faith in the government’s commitment to national development.
“You can tell that the government of President Mahama has in the last 120 days done a great job. You now have a government that is working for you, listening to you, and making sure that you experience an improvement in your life.
“Let me encourage you all to remain positive and rally behind this administration so that together we can #BuildTheGhanaWeWant for everyone — not just a select few. The #Reset agenda is off to a great start,” she wrote.
Since assuming office, President Mahama has delivered on several promises outlined in his 120-day social contract with Ghanaians.
These include the removal of what the administration describes as nuisance taxes, such as the betting tax and the electronic transaction levy, as well as the launch of the Adwumawura programme, Mahama Cares, and other initiatives.
Meanwhile, some critics — particularly the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) — say the government has yet to implement any tangible interventions to improve the living conditions of Ghanaians.
